The Spiritual Growth Process!

The Spiritual Growth Process!

Humans all go through the same human experience of growth.  You are first an embryo, a fetus, a baby, a toddler, and childhood.  We all have to submit to the process, it is part of the deal of eventually becoming an adult; some get stuck in the teenage years.  Those that get stuck refuse to grow up and remain in the mindset of a youth.

It is not a good look for a 40-year-old man to still walk around with his pants sagging and his underwear showing.  It is not a good look for a 45-year-old woman to dress like a school girl showing off a body that has long past the mini skirt age.  The only thing worse than these examples is a Believer acting like an unbeliever or a baby Christian.

We all need to continue to grow in Christ; that won’t happen if you never pick up God’s word.  We need to invest in our salvation, you can start the New Year out right by purchasing “In the Cool of the Day,” this tool will assist you in the areas of growth.  You have bible verses for the day, a story to illuminate the text and prayer objectives.

The journal even has lines for writing what you gleaned from God’s word that day.  Spiritual growth is mandatory or you will be picked off by the enemy.  He (Satan) is looking for those sheep that stray and leave the pack.  That will not be you in 2019, you are going to be strong in the Lord and the power of His might.

Prayer Focus: Father God, we pray this day that every reader has re-committed their lives to growing in Christ for 2019.  It is our hope that they will demonstrate this commitment by purchasing “In the Cool of the Day” as a seed of faith for 2019 in Jesus name.

Scripture Reading:  Ephesians 3:14-19 New Living Translation Paul’s Prayer for Spiritual Growth 14 When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, 15 the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. 16 I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. 17 Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. 19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

A seat at His table!

Thankful to have a seat at the Kings table.

Matt 22:1-14

I am captivated by this parable where Jesus speaks to the fact that God has prepared a table before us and has called all his guests for a seat at his table. Many may have not known the benefits that went along with that so they shrugged it off. Then I find that Our Heavenly Father extended his grace to others the good and the bad to offer a seat at his table he has prepared. I never knew the significance of these passages of scriptures to our every day lives in Christ. (He prepares a table before us in the presence of our enemies. (Psalms23:5) At his table we have his grace, blessings, protection, and provisions and so much more. We are treated with such honor as his children.

Not only is it an honor to be invited into the kingdom but we are clothed in special wedding garments. (Christ) Holiness, Cleaned/spotless, and honored as his peculiar people.

But then as I look further at the passage, it states that someone came to the table without his wedding garments. I take it as he was not saved. And he was cast out. Perhaps he has seen all the blessings of the saved and wanted them too but without accepting the Son as his Savior.

Imagine wanting the blessings of God that come through acceptance of the Son but not wanting to honor the Son with his life. And At his wedding feast at that. Nerves right?

I guess it’s no difference if we say Lord, Lord but don’t really make him Lord of our lives. How can we expect to have a seat at the table and all blessings that go with it.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Sometimes You Have To Survive The Storm, By Coming In On The Broken Pieces

By:Pastor Apostle Charles Willis

Sometimes You Have To Survive The Storm, By Coming In On The Broken Pieces
What you are trying to make happen may fall apart; but you don’t have to fall apart with it.

Don’t kill yourself because things are hard, and it looks as though you can’t survive without it.

Don’t go down with the ship, get on top of the broken pieces and ride them to shore.

Even though your situation may be over, your life is not over.

Your bad experience will work for your good, if you don’t give up. Keep putting one foot in front of the other, and you will walk into another chapter of your life.

In the Holy Bible Acts 27:41-44 And falling into a place where two seas met, they ran the ship aground; and the forepart stuck fast, and remained unmovable, but the hinder part was broken with the violence of the waves. And the soldiers’ counsel was to kill the prisoners, lest any of them should swim out and escape. But the centurion, willing to save Paul (or whatever your name is), kept them from their purpose; and commanded that they which could swim should cast first and get to land: and the rest, some on boards, and some on broken pieces of the ship. And so it came to pass, that they escaped all safe to land.
