The Spiritual Growth Process!

The Spiritual Growth Process!

Humans all go through the same human experience of growth.  You are first an embryo, a fetus, a baby, a toddler, and childhood.  We all have to submit to the process, it is part of the deal of eventually becoming an adult; some get stuck in the teenage years.  Those that get stuck refuse to grow up and remain in the mindset of a youth.

It is not a good look for a 40-year-old man to still walk around with his pants sagging and his underwear showing.  It is not a good look for a 45-year-old woman to dress like a school girl showing off a body that has long past the mini skirt age.  The only thing worse than these examples is a Believer acting like an unbeliever or a baby Christian.

We all need to continue to grow in Christ; that won’t happen if you never pick up God’s word.  We need to invest in our salvation, you can start the New Year out right by purchasing “In the Cool of the Day,” this tool will assist you in the areas of growth.  You have bible verses for the day, a story to illuminate the text and prayer objectives.

The journal even has lines for writing what you gleaned from God’s word that day.  Spiritual growth is mandatory or you will be picked off by the enemy.  He (Satan) is looking for those sheep that stray and leave the pack.  That will not be you in 2019, you are going to be strong in the Lord and the power of His might.

Prayer Focus: Father God, we pray this day that every reader has re-committed their lives to growing in Christ for 2019.  It is our hope that they will demonstrate this commitment by purchasing “In the Cool of the Day” as a seed of faith for 2019 in Jesus name.

Scripture Reading:  Ephesians 3:14-19 New Living Translation Paul’s Prayer for Spiritual Growth 14 When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, 15 the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. 16 I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. 17 Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. 19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

3 Tips to having Peace Everyday

3 Tips for having peace Every day!

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path. Prov.3:5-6

Think about it, We face so many things on a daily bases and with life moving so fast we find it necessary to make hasty decisions. Sounds familiar?  The stress of not fully knowing if we made the right decision and what kind of results to expect can be unsettling. What if we could be confident in every step we take and every decision we make? Wouldn’t that give you great peace of mind, knowing that everything will work out for your good?

The Bible shows us just how to do that. Let’s look at Proverbs 3:5-6 more closely.

Tip #1:

  1. Trust in the Lord with all your heart;

Trusting in the Lord can be difficult at times especially when you are so used to just trusting yourself and making your own decisions.  I have had to relearn this so many times and I am still practicing this simple but powerful action. These truths have helped me thus far, to reflect on who God is and how he wants to be included in every aspect of my life; Nothing is too small for him to want to help with and there is nothing too large that he can’t handle, and Reflecting on what the bible says is true about God,

“God is our Refuge and strength an ever-present help in time of trouble.” Psalm 46:1

“Now unto him, that is able to keep you from falling.” Jude 1:24

“Be strong and courageous, Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6

“I have loved you with an everlasting love;” Jeremiah 31:3

These are just a few. But you get the point. When you know someone is for you 100% and wants what is best for you, wouldn’t you trust them? Now reflect on that and know that’s how God is towards us. But with an all-knowing eye and an all-powerful hand.

So in times of decisions bring it to him first, ask him for his direction.

This brings us to our second tip:

  1. Lean not to your own understanding;

It is so easy to think we have it all figured out. I know for me I’d think a situation is one way but after consulting with the Lord in prayer he shows me a totally different solution with a totally different understanding and perspective. It has saved me from making many stupid mistakes and has also given me great peace in knowing God’s truth.

The Bible states:

“His ways are higher than our ways. Isaiah 55:8-9

“God sees not as man sees.” 1Samuel 16:7

 There have been times when I have been hurt or upset about an offense but after submitting it to the Lord, He gave me the big picture and then the wisdom to deal with it appropriately. He has helped me see things through the eyes of Jesus, which is Love. It has been a great comfort.

This brings us to our 3rd tip:

3) “In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.”

In every decision, every concern… in everything, bring it to God in prayer. There is a song that says, ”Oh what peace we often forfeit and oh what needless pain we bear, all because we do not take it to the Lord in prayer;”  Old habits die hard, I get it. But making a habit to pray first will help you not panic later. You can be confident that He knows what is best for you and those you love.

“For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

Look for his direction and follow it. Many times we know what we should do but we don’t want to do it.  This is where we must really decide on who we are going to serve; Ourselves or the Lord?

If we obey the Lord we will have blessings, joy, and peace;  We will have the assurance that he knows the whole picture, and wants what is best for us. Knowing this and acting on it will give you Great peace every day.

“The Peace of God that passes all understanding, shall keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7
